Julie Lasfargues

was born in Niort in 1974.
An art historian with a passion for old glass, she trained as a glass blower at the CERFAV.

She worked for several years as an assistant to Monica Guggisberg and Philip Baldwin in
Paris; and for one session to John de Wit at the Pilchuck Glass School in the USA. She then went on to create her own workshop in Brittany.

She “strokes” the glass and sculpts it. “I like working with glass in small dimensions so that it remains accessible to our hands and our sensitivity”.
She has designed the Solstiss lamp for La Rochère – an interior lamp with sensual curves.
